beans chief morale officer

Are you coming? That means I’m off for another fun day at the office. Love everything about the people and the food they sneak me. I’ve even got my own bed.

Describe what you do at Bundy
I’ve got several jobs actually.
• Chief Morale Officer. ba has a family culture, which means I have a full-time job keeping things fun and real.
• Chief Greeter. If you visit us at 1 Cecil Place Prahran, I’ll be waiting for you at the top of the stairs with my tail wagging so fast you’d think it could drop off at any second.
• Chief Sun Chaser. We get a heap of natural light in the office and I spend a good part of the day checking it out. I’ve even been known to drag my bed around with me.
• Meeting Time Keeper. Some times meetings can drag on. If this happens I have a way of clearing the table so people can get on with their day.

What does creativity mean to you?
Creative people. They are just great. Very inquisitive with many wanting to take photos of me for Facebook or Instagram.

What do you love about working in this industry?
This one’s specific to ba – Mondays. Every Monday we have a family get together that’s designed to bring the family together and get us all taking. Food always accompanies this and I’m always there to clean up. Clean up any plates and food scraps that is.

Who or what has inspired you?
Schmackos. Nothing inspires me more. The best thing is that the ba family often take it in turns to treat me.

Be good and have fun

Describe what you do at Bundy
As Founder and Creative Director I wear a lot of hats.

I must admit my favourite thing is bringing great talent together and creating great work. When the two meet you have something that is magical and enduring.

What does creativity mean to you?
It means happiness. The smile and satisfaction you feel when you’ve solved a difficult problem and helped a client advance their cause is very special.

What do you love about working in this industry?
Advertising is all I’ve ever done since I left school in 1983. In that time I’ve worked on some massive brands and created work that has won awards globally. But at the end of the day it’s the people that I love the most. Sure the industry has changed a lot, but the basic fact that we work in an industry of people who love to make things hasn’t.

Who or what has inspired you?
Family. Movies. Art. They all rate highly. But if I had to distill into down to three people who have inspired me I’d single out these three:

Frank Lloyd Wright who’s genius allowed him to create incredible designs in his 80’s.

Walt Disney who continually went beyond and created the essence of a brand that endures 50 years after his death.

Ernst Shackelton. The Antarctic explorer whose ship was crushed in the ice, yet still managed to save all of his crew through leading by example. He never got his crew to do something he wouldn’t do himself.

“An original idea. That can't be too hard. The library must be full of them." - Stephen Fry

Describe what you do at Bundy
I create things. The more I sharpen my pencils the better.

What does creativity mean to you?
When applied to brief or a problem it becomes a solution that will often touch on our human emotions.

What do you love about working in this industry?
I love being able to solve problems and tell stories by making, creating and crafting my ideas.

Who or what has inspired you?
Art has always inspired me and Robert Rauschenberg is my all time favourite.

The storytelling of Pixar and Studio Ghibli is mind blowing.

I love fonts and the engineering behind them. Engineering is a big part of my process in the construction of my ideas.

"To the city anew, she fled and she flew. Shedding self doubt and all that she knew." - unknown.

Describe what you do at Bundy
I’m the human spell-check at Bundy Agency; I’m known for finding tiny double-spaces and misplaced commas in copy that drives everybody insane. When I’m not waving my red pen, I write things and create content for social. I enjoy the processes that go into thinking, executing and finessing creative projects.

What does creativity mean to you?
Creativity means pushing boundaries and finding new ways of looking at things. It’s about solving a problem, in a fresh and exciting way.

What do you love about working in this industry?
I love that advertising requires a range of skills – it’s a mixture of artistic creativity, problem solving and critical thinking; but you also need to be commercially minded.

Who or what has inspired you?
I’m inspired by people who have become successful by doing what they love. Today, it seems almost anyone can become famous, but it’s the people that are passionate about what they do that are truly successful. Karl Lagerfeld is a huge inspiration; he’s a man who seems to have an unlimited pool of ideas. Writers like Emily Brontë, Alain de Botton and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Also, my mum. She decided a long time ago that painting was what she loved doing, and she’s made her career a success through pure dedication and persistence.

"Run your own race"

Describe what you do at Bundy
I’m a designer and finished artist. I enjoy working at BA as our clients are varied and their advertising needs are very different. It makes for a fun day with interesting projects. I love being creative and at the same time, I enjoy the technical side of my work; I’m fussy about typography and don’t believe it’s worth doing something unless I give it my all.

What does creativity mean to you?
It means being able to transform an idea into something real that is useful and enjoyable to people.

What do you love about working in this industry?
I love that it’s never boring, I’m always surrounded by creative people, it’s fun and inspiring.

Who or what has inspired you?
I find being in nature the most inspiring and grounding experience. Given a choice, this is where i’d rather be. I’m also inspired by people who have dreams and persevere when facing challenges.

“Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain.” - Vivian Greene

Describe what you do at Bundy agency?
I am Graphic Designer and Finished Artist that loves the fast pace and dynamic working culture. I love constantly working on new interesting projects that challenge and inspire.

Describe what creativity means to you?
Creativity is about challenging oneself absolutely but also not being afraid to fail. It’s about exploring all the questions, ideas, and concepts, its discovering new perspectives and answers.

What do you love about working in this industry?
The constantly fluid and changing landscape it offers. Ideas, design and solution vary and can be bold and dynamic and sometimes those brilliant moments of creativity are fleeting or they can resonate within the brand or open a new course of thinking and feeling.

Who or what has inspired you?
Pablo Picasso, Martin Luther King, Adele, Annie Leibovitz, Banksy, Iris Apfel, Ken Robinson, Richard Branson, Tina Fey, Amy Schumer, Anna Wintour… the list could go on. People I find most inspiring, those that march to their own drum that didn’t listen to the no’s, the knocks and falls that were thrown at them. They build and created solutions, ideas and questioned the norms that changed the answers. Ideas, creativity, belief and determination is what is essential to life, these people reflect these characteristics.

G'day - Being French I still can't say it like an Aussie but I'm working on it.

Describe what you do at Bundy
I’m a designer/artist. I’ve worked on a lot of things but my favourite project so far is designing cricket bats for DSC India. Have really enjoyed pushing beyond and adding genuine colour and choice to the world of cricket.

What does creativity mean to you?
Everything. I see creativity everywhere. Not just in the work of designers but also in their designs of nature.

What do you love about working in this industry?
Travelling from France to work in Melbourne is a highlight that will take a long time to beat. So you could say I love the opportunities.

Who or what has inspired you?
My family in France and my new ba family here in Melbourne. Both have embraced me and made me believe that anything is possible.
